Pittsburgh Comicon 2010 is in the books. I want to thank everyone who came out to support me and Max and especially thank Damsel, Chaste, Trix and Sahara for helping us out at the show. If you don’t know Trix and Sahara, then you should definitely read today’s strip because they both just debuted as two of the four Starfoxes that will be part of the strip for some time to come.
Thanks again to them and it was great meeting so many fans and other comic creators. Hopefully once I’m a little better rested we’ll be posting some of the pics from the convention here in the blog. So stay tuned.

Max and Mav made their return to Pittsburgh Comicon on Friday and we’ll be there today as well. We’re even bringing along a couple of the models the strip is based on. So if you’re in the Pittsburgh area, or driving distance to it, please come on down and meet us. You can pick up copies of our new book and get your picture taken with a real life Hellcat. What better way to spend a weekend afternoon.

We hit our goal but we’re still going.

So as you can see by our handy dandy little pledge graph, we’ve hit our goal of $1200, so we will in fact be publishing and we will be taking Cosmic Hellcats back to Pittsburgh Comicon with the new books to boot.
Since we still have some time left on the pledge drive, I’ve decided to try something else as well. We’re going to try to put together ANOTHER book just in time for Comicon. This will be an all original project. New art. New stories. New Characters. But still in the Hellcats universe. I’ve already contacted some other artists about working on it with me, and they seem excited. I’m not sure exactly how much we’re going to have yet, but it’s definitely going to be fun.
So here’s what I’m asking for. If we can make another $500 in pledges by the cut off date (meaning a minimum of $1730 in pledges) I’ll throw in the extra book for everyone who’s pledged at least $10 or more (including all the old pledges). So if you’ve already pledged and want to add more, you can or you can tell your comic loving friends to do the same so that you get more stuff. And if you haven’t pledged yet, well… what are you waiting for? Now is the time. There’s good stuff to be gotten.
Seriously, thank you all for the help. I hope you’re as excited about this as we are.

Progress on Kickstarting and Catch Mav on Internet Radio

So in just about a week, we’ve made it about 2/3 of the way to our goal for getting the books printed.

I can’t thank those who’ve pledged enough. Seriously, we couldn’t do it without you.
If you still want to support the comic, it’s not too late. In fact we really still need the help. Every little bit helps. So if you’ve enjoyed everything you’ve been reading here these last couple of years, then by all means, pledge and get yourself a copy.
On another front. If you’re a wrestling fan, or if maybe you’ve just always wanted to hear the sound of my lovely voice, I’ll be appearing on the Wrestling Mayhem Show tonight at 8PM Eastern to talk about my wrestling career and the comic. So if you’re into the whole podcast scene, then definitely check that out. And if you’re not, check it out anyway, because I’ll be there and I’m awesome right? I mean, why else are you reading this? Since it’s a podcast, you’ll of course be able to download it anytime.
Thankyou again to all who’ve pledged and thankyou to all who come here and read our little comic week. Keep coming back and please, leave us some comments and let us know what you think.

Help the Hellcats print their new book!

Cosmic Hellcats wasn’t always supposed to be a webcomic. Originally we premiered it as a one-shot for Pittsburgh Comicon 2008. We had so much fun with it that we decided to keep going and that’s how this webcomic was born.

This year we’re returning to Pittsburgh Comicon to premiere the release of the Cosmic Hellcats Adventures compilations. If you love Cosmic Hellcats and would like a bound version of the strips you see here, then these comics are for you.
But we need your help. In order to publish the comics we need to $1200 in preorders by April 18th. That’s where you come in. If you enjoy this strip and would like a copy of it, then please visit our kickstarter.com pledge site and pledge to help us with printing.
We’re not looking for handouts. Essentially what we’re asking is for you to buy the books. All pledges of $10 or more will receive not only either the “A Giant Mess” or “Ninjas vs. Pirates” storylines, but also a free copy of the original Cosmic Hellcats IX comic that started it all. Pledges of $30 or more will receive a bound trade paperback that contains both stories, as well as being chocked full of a bunch of extras, (pinups, photoshoots and sketches) not available in the regular editions. Pledges or more will get you thinks like posters and original artwork. And everything you’re buying will come signed by both Max and Mav. If we meet our goal then you’ll be receiving everything you bought soon after. If we don’t meet our goal then you won’t be charged anything.
We’re really excited about this project and really looking forward to seeing the girls in print once again. So please, visit our pledge site for details and thank you once again for your continued support of Cosmic Hellcats.
Hoping you’re enjoying this new storyline as much as we’re enjoying bringing it to you.
