Welcome to the first page of something that I’ve been excited about for a while now. As you might have noticed on Monday’s strip, Cosmic Hellcat Adventures has gone to a fullpage format. Obviously, this takes a bit more time for Max to draw, so in order to accommodate that, we’ve decided that Cosmic Hellcat Adventures will move to one day a week (Monday’s). Hellcat Cosmos will remain on Saturdays, and Thursdays will feature a new backup strip which will probably rotate.

I’ll be drawing as well as writing the first of these strips, which is why I’m personally so excited about it. So I’m proud to present the very first page of TEDD-IJAµ Adventures (that’s pronounced TEDDIJAM, by the way) in a storyline I’m calling “The Goldie Loxx Affair”. The new strip follows the Tactics, Espionage and Defense Directorate –  Intergalactic Justice Advocates µ unit as they go up against the notorious intergalactic jewel thief known as Goldie Loxx. If you don’t remember the Intergalactic Justice Advocates, they’re the Ursideons (that’s bear people) from our very first story arc, A Giant Mess. They haven’t appeared as much in the strip since then, except in the Hellcat Cosmos one-offs. In particular, Riley shows up there a lot as she an Sarah get into a variety of… errr… uncomfortable situations. Riley has been appearing with Max and I at comic conventions lately (and in fact will be with us this weekend at Pittsburgh’s Comicon) and people have been asking us when they’d see more of her and the rest of the TEDD-IJAµ crew. Well, here you go.

So I’m really looking forward to hearing what people think of the new strip, so definitely let us know how you like it. Oh, and if you didn’t see Tuesday’s announcement, last year’s story, Da Kitty Code is now available for purchase as a collection as well as the second Cosmic Hellcats Anthology which features, Da Kitty Code as well as the third story arc Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Doomsday and the Raining Katt & Dawg mini comic that I ran last June. And if you’re a Katt & Dawg, then there’s one last special treat for you, they’re now available in their very own comic, Katt & Dawg #1, The Beagle Protocols. This story is for mature readers only. In other words, there’s way too much swearing, sex, nudity, drugs and violence for us to print it here on the web. So if you want to see what Katt & Dawg are up to when they’re NOT with the Hellcats, you’ll just have to order it. And once you do, come back here and let us know what you think. All of these comics, and our others are linked to from the Hellcats Bookstore page.

So as you can see, a lot of exciting stuff is happening this year. So please, let us know what you think. We hope you enjoy it. See you on Thursday for the next Hellcat Cosmos.
