Other webcomics to check out

I hope everyone has been enjoying Cosmic Hellcats so far. We’ve been working hard trying to both move the storyline along and make each installment interesting at the same time. I hope we’re holding your interest. If you get a chance either leave us a comment or drop us a line and let us know what you think. The current storyline should be wrapping up in the next month or so and then we will be on to the next one. I hope you keep with us til then and beyond.

I wanted to take this moment to mention some other webcomics that I have been enjoying lately. Things that, while not directly related, probably inspire me on some level or another. So fi you like Cosmic Hellcats, then you may want to check some of these out.
1. Menage a 3 – Like Three’s Company but way more sexy. The life of a geek and his oversexed attractive two female roommates.
2. Evil Inc. – What happens when supervillains get tired of losing to heroes? They move their evil off the streets and into the 21st century. The corporate boardroom.
3. Spacetime Condominium – A guy gets evicted from his apartment and moves into a luxury condo at the edge of reality. His new roommate? Parallel universe versions of himself.
All three of them are quite funny and worth checking out. And make sure your friends all check out Cosmic Hellcats. And vote for us on the webcomic boards linked at the top of the main page of this site. Max and I have the dream of one day doing this comic fulltime. When that happens you could have a new Hellcats everyday, but that can’t happen unless we become a lot more popular. You can help us out!
And while you’re at it, buy the original Cosmic Hellcats paper comic, available from our bookstore! We hope to have a followup issue sometime soon as well, but until that happens we’d love to know what you think of the first one, so check it out!

The Cosmic Hellcats, Max and I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish everyone out there a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Joyous Kwanzaa, Festive Festivus, or a Purrfect Ceiling Cat Ascension Day. Whatever it is you celebrate on your planet and in your country.
Sarah and I took this during our most recent photoshoot for the website Zivity. She’ll be featured as their special Christmas model on December 25th. So if you want to see her entire sexy Christmas set then please go to Zivity.com and join to support us. We hope to do lots more over there in the new year. Come on, she’s hot. You know you want to.
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this shot and I hope you’re enjoying the comic. Send us any feedback at feedback@cosmichellcats.com, and remember you can still contact Sarah to ask her questions at asksarah@cosmichellcats.com.
And don’t forget to come back here on Thursday for the latest Cosmic Hellcat Adventure.
So, no matter what holiday you’re celebrating this season:
Happy Non-Denominational Yuletide Winter Holiday!
from the entire Cosmic Hellcats Crew.

Fun for the Holidays: Suggestions and Lingerie

Damsel-lingerie.jpgIt was always our intention here at Cosmic Hellcats to feature the real life Hellcat models in conjunction with the fictional strip. But lack of time and other commitments have gotten in the way and I haven’t been able to get as many shoots up of the girls as I would otherwise like.

Well, that clearly has to change. So I decided that since the Christmas Holidays are coming up and its so cold outside, I’d help all of our fans warm up with some Out-of-character (and clothing) pics of the girls.
Hopefully it won’t be too long before I have time to put even more shots of them up.
In the meantime, I’m looking for suggestions from you the readers. What do you want to see, both in the strip and on the site? Lots of people have asked for us to introduce more characters, and that will be coming after the current story arc ends.
But what else are you looking for? What do you like? What do you not like? Do you prefer our storyline driven scripts or do you like it when we go for more humor oriented stories? Do you like when we stick with one character or subplot for several strips in a row or do you prefer when we jump around and let you see a little of everybody? Who are your favorite characters? Who do you want to see more of? Or less of?
And out of the strip, what other things should we be adding to the site? We’ve considered contests, more merchandise (t-shirts, and the like), a series of “serious” text stories featuring the characters. Guest strips. More “Ask Sarah!” advice columns? But what would you like to see?
Any suggestions or comments you may have, please leave here or send them to us at feedback@cosmichellcats.com. Also send us mail there if you have any fanart or pics and we’ll get them posted here as well. Hope to hear from you soon.
Happy Holidays,
-Mav

Ask Sarah: Boys who sing

Nov03

Dear Sarah,

I am a musician, and there are some girls I want to impress at the club where I play. Now, long ago Eddie Murphy taught me that girls go wild for guys who sing. I write lots of songs, but I never sing them because my voice is crap. So what I’m wondering is, is a guy who sings sexy even if he sucks? Or should I just stick to guitar? I would tend to think that the singing needs to be good, but then how do you explain Bob Dylan?

As a followup, whose lyrics are hotter, Led Zeppelin (“Squeeze my lemon till the juice runs down my leg”) or Nine Inch Nails (“She spreads herself wide open to let the insects in”)?

-Mystified in D Minor

p.s. You should come see me play next time you’re in the solar system 🙂

MiD-

You know what? I love it when boys try. It’s adorable. Even when they fail miserably at something, it’s pretty cute to watch a boy struggle to impress you. So you should probably sing.

But if you’re bad at singing, you should only ever sing while you’re doing something else well. You play the guitar, so you should always sing and play the guitar at the same time. Why? It’s more adorable that way. Girls think: “oh how cute, he is trying to multi-task and he can’t.” Where if you just sing alone (and you really are as bad as you say) it will be painfully more obvious that you can’t actually sing.

But actually drummers are totally hot. They have those sticks and that amazing rhythm, and I mean… you can just see that it would translate to… uh, other activities.

Erm. What?

I have some scientific evidence that points to Bob Dylan actually being from a solar system different from yours. I don’t have enough to publish this theory yet, but I would instruct you to not try to comprehend him. You can’t.

As to the hotter lyrics, I always really liked this one band from my hometown. Totally dirty stuff. It’s so hot. Sadly, though, I can’t translate it into English. I think if I had to pick a song in English it would be neither of your choices but Def Leppard’s “Pour Some Sugar on Me.”  I don’t know why, but something about that song makes every female creature within ear shot go completely crazy.

That being said, I will totally come to one of your shows if you cover that song for me. And let me dance on stage

Ask Sarah: Music

I just LOVE the energy Riley put’s in her performance of the only song worth playing in Guitar hero III.

That made me dig kinda deep down in my ancient collection of dusty LP’s and kickstart the vinyl lathe. Grinding down some Mountain(s). It sure brings back almost faded memories.

Tell me Sarah, will there be created such great music again in the future or should I stop maintaining my vinyl lathe ???

Rock on, cheers the one and only Stealth Oracle

Stealthy,

I think you’re confusing “space” with “future.” I’m not from the future. Just because your silly planet hasn’t figured out intergalactic space travel and is still centuries away from creating it, doesn’t mean my planet is from the “future.” We are just smarter than you.

That being said, I TOTALLY love those music games. Guitar Hero is fun, but I’m partial to singing on Rock Band. Oh and the drums, but I still can’t seem to get the foot pedal and hand movement independent of one another.

But I’m not able to tell you about the future of music. Chances are music will be good again. Everything in the universe turns out to be cyclical.

Also, what do you mean by “vinyl”? That’s something you wear, silly, not something that plays music.

Kisses,

Sarah
