Baltimore Comicon 2010 (Finally!)

BCC2010-11.jpgYes, that's right, 2010!

Max and I went to Baltimore Comicon 2011 last weekend (more on that soon) and while I was going through all the pictures I took at it, I realized that I'm a horrible awful person and I never got around to posting the pictures I took last year at Baltimore Comicon 2010. Better late than never, right?

Well, it's going to have to be!

Anyway, I figured I might as well do that now. And tomorrow I'll put up pics from Pittsburgh Comicon 2011. And then by Saturday, I should be caught up with pics from Baltimore Comicon 2011.

You know, assuming I don't slack off more. (I'm trying not to... I promise!)

This is the first comic of Cosmic Hellcats Guest Week. Before we start the next storyline, we'll be featuring a few comics staring the Hellcats by a couple of artist friends of ours and fans of the storyline, while Max and Mav prepare for the next arc. Today's comic is by Helder Silva.

Kennedy Concept Sketch by Mav

Been a while since we updated the sketchbook, hasn't it? Well, we've been waiting for some of the new characters to show up. And then we were busy. But here's Kennedy, as first conceived and drawn by Mav as we sat around very bored on the first day of Comicon before there were any people.

Kennedy's original name was Jam.

More Pictures From Pittsburgh Comicon 2008

Hellcats and Elston
Flickr user Elston, who is a member of my 365 Project recognized me and approached me at the Con.

We spoke for a while about my 365 book and the Hellcats comic and he asked if it was ok if he took a picture with me and the team for his daily self-portrait. Being total camera whores, we of course obliged.

He also gave us a picture of Chaste that he took at the convention before he even knew that i was involved in the project.

Thanks to Elston, and if anyone else has any pics they'd like to share, please send them to feedback@cosmichellcats.com.

Photos from Pittsburgh Comicon 2008

PGH-Comicon-2008-11.jpg
We had a great time at Comicon, of course. The book did really well and we met a lot of fans and even did a couple of interviews. The girls seem to have had a blast. I keep looking around Flickr and seeing Hellcat pictures popping up everywhere.

Took a lot of pictures out there of a lot of people in a lot of great outfits. Decided to add them here. In the future, any pics we have from fans, be they photos with max, the girls, and myself, or fanart that people have drawn will be added to the Fan Pics section of the website. I actually have a couple of really good sketches by Indy Comic artist Kristoffer Smith that I will be putting up as soon as I have time. But until then, enjoy these photos from the con. Even more pictures from comicon, including all those without the 'Cats, but with some great costumes nonetheless are on my flickr page. If you have your own pics with the 'Cats you'd like uploaded here or if you have any fan sketches, please send them to feedback@cosmichellcats.com.

Also, we're hard at work on issue 2 of Cosmic Hellcats IX. But until then, be sure to check out the website for the new Web Comics section of the site for the brand new Cosmic Hellcats Adventures webcomic that Max and I just started. We'll be updating it a couple times a week with further exploits of the 'Cats. These will probably even be sillier than what happens in the main book, which from now on is going to center more on story. Hopefully, we'll also be making Adventures into a published comic or manga as well, once we have enough of them. But that's off in the future. Until then, just enjoy them here.

The first issue of Cosmic Hellcats IX is also still available. So if you don't have it yet, head over to the Bookstore and grab a copy. The more we sell, the sooner issue 2 can come out.

Pittsburgh Comicon A Success

Team At Comicon.jpg
Thank you to everyone who came out to visit us at Pittsburgh Comicon this last weekend. We all had a great time.

And a special thank you to everyone who supported us by buying the book and other merchandise. We look forward to many great Hellcat adventures in the future, and seeing the support makes us feel like it's all worth it.

If you didn't make it out to the show, or you did, but didn't get a chance to pick up the book, you can now do so on our new bookstore page. Mav is going to continue working on updating the site in the next few days, so keep coming back. More pics from the comicon will be posted here soon as well as some other news about the future of Cosmic Hellcats.

Again, thank you to everyone for all the support and we look forward to hearing from you soon. In fact, if you've read the book, please write us and let us know what you think. Send mail to Feedback@CosmicHellcats.com, or just comment on this entry and let us know what you think.

More cool stuff will be up very soon as the site grows and the comic continues. We hope you continue to join us.
